Presentation of the Recommendation Letter to H. G. the Most Rev. Mieczysław Mokrzycki
On 18 September 2021, the Apostolic Nuncio i Ukraine, H. E. the Most Rev. Visvaldas Kulbokas has presented the Recommendation Letter by Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of His Holiness Pope Francis, to the Vice-President of the Ukrainian Episcopal Conference, H. G. the Most Rev. Mieczysław Mokrzycki, before the solemn Eucharistic Celebration on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the Kyiv-Zhytomyr Diocese.
On his arrival to St Alexander Cathedral, the Apostolic Nuncio has been offered bread and salt, a traditional Ukrainian sign of welcome. Archbishop Mokrzycki, in his speech, invited the large congregation to thank God for his great deeds.
In his turn, the Apostolic Nuncio underlined that he came to Ukraine as a Papal Representative, and that Pope Francis invites pastors and faithful to be witnesses of hope and joy.
