The Holy Father’s help for the suffering Ukrainian population
Through the Dicastery for the Charity Services known as “Elemosineria Apostolica”, the Pope has had medical supplies delivered to the Basilica of St. Sophia in Rome, a point of reference for the Ukrainian community: truckloads of food and subsistence items have been leaving here for days, destined for the people who have been living the dramatic consequences of the war for days.
At the Vatican on 7 March an extraordinary collection of food and medicine for the people of Ukraine.
